Contest Winner Story:
This was the moment of truth, there wasn’t much time left, after this, there was no going back. She watched her sister take a deep breath as the cashier at the department store said “Ic’n help who’s next” her sister stepped forward and put the dress on the counter , the woman scanned it “That’ll be $44.67, would you like your receipt?” she shook her head no and took the bag. Triumphant, she raced home so she could try it on now, not as the dress from the store, but her very own, homecoming 2010 dress. After homecoming, her sister came back with stories on how she danced the night away feeling stunning in her dress, and how it was the best night of her life. A week later she logged onto her favorite social site and looked at her sisters homecoming pictures with a frown. “She looked the more amazing in that dress than she ever has!” she thought… It was expensive but one of the straps broke, and her sister saw 3 other girls with the SAME dress… “Next year, when I’m a freshman, I have to top this, I have to get something SO unique that no one else will have, something people will guess I paid hundreds of dollars for, something better…” So she searched for days trying to find a website that sold just that. Then, she stumbled upon something called Downtowndress.blogspot.com, it was perfect! They sold the most beautiful dresses she had seen in her life, she browsed pages of the gorgeous gowns, each more stunning than the last, she swore to herself that day, for Homecoming 2011, her dress would come from that website. She waited a year for that moment. And here she sits, writing this true story on her dream to win on of these prized dresses, it would truly be, a dream come true.
